What will the massage feel like?
It depends on the
technique used. In general Swedish massage, your session may start
with broad flowing stroke
that
will help to calm you nervous system and relax muscle tension.
As your body relaxes, the pressure will
gradually be increased to relax specific areas and
relieve areas of muscle tension. If you feel any discomfort,
let
your massage therapist know immediately, so that another
technique can be used. You receive the greatest
benefit from massage when your body is not resisting.
